There are only two types of photography!
The first is to record; people, places and events.
The second records the photographer’s soul……
And that is precisely how I try to create my art, with soul, with emotion and my way of interpreting what I see in the world around me.
It all started with my first camera, a Brownie Box, which I still have. I progressed to an SLR and after a long gap eventually embraced digital with several DSLRs. I now have a Full frame mirrorless.
Some years ago my life took an unexpected sharp left hand turn, where I collapsed in a big heap. It all started with a photograph, a photograph which was so full of emotion it overflowed.
Photography became my lifeline, being creative was the only way I survived. It took my photography back to the beginning as I struggled with my emotions, and as I moved slowly forward I found a way to use my soul in my work…
